A word from some of those we’ve helped

“With CSF-Languedoc’s help, I went from feeling alone and terrified, to feeling that I was surrounded with love and support, and from being uninformed to being completely reassured. CSF-Languedoc helped me get back to life beyond cancer and encouraged me to stand on my own two feet again.”

“Drop-In Day is the highlight of my month, meeting people who understand what you are going through is very important, sharing your pain and laughter, a lot of laughter, you feel safe.

It has changed my life.”

“After a consultation we used to sit in the car park and go over what we thought had been said. It was so stressful and we felt we were struggling in the dark. Now, with the help of CSF-Languedoc we feel so much better equipped to fight for my husband’s health.”

HOW ARE THE FUNDS WE RAISE USED?

All money raised or donated supports our direct work with individuals affected by cancer. This includes our Drop-in days, our advertising and publicity work – to make sure people know who we are, what we do and how to contact us – our delivery of training for volunteers and any other costs that keep us in a position to meet client needs.

This income keeps our books balanced and allows us to keep providing the practical and emotional support that clients say they find invaluable.

Although we reimburse our volunteers for expenses they incur, everyone who delivers these services does so without payment.

We have professional standards that are set out and used as the basis for all our service delivery and training.

This means all money received goes to support clients in ways which are direct and in which we can have confidence.
